Frog Follies Celebrates 50 Years in Evansville

Frog Follies is revving up for its 50th anniversary edition, and Evansville is ready to celebrate classic cars, community traditions, and creative fun like never before. Here’s everything you need to know about the milestone event—and why you’ll want to be part of it.

What began in 1975 as a casual Sunday gathering at Wesselman Woods grew into something legendary. Founders of E’ville Iron Street Rods, Ltd. organized a street‑rod show for about 50 cars—and even held a bullfrog jumping contest as part of the fun. That quirky tradition inspired the event’s name: Frog Follies Rod Run. Over the decades, it scaled into a three‑day spectacle with roughly 3,000 pre‑’49 street rods and became the largest independent pre‑’49 rod show in the nation.

It’s more than a car show—it’s a tradition that supports local causes, awards scholarships, and brings car enthusiasts together to honor automotive craftsmanship and community spirit.

What’s on Deck for the 50th Anniversary: August 22–24, 2025
